Sydney Wolgast

As-Needed Museum Assistant

Sydney Wolgast

Sydney came to Manhattan in 2017 to attend Kansas State University. She graduated with Bachelors degrees in History and Anthropology with a Certification in Primary Texts. Deciding she wasn't quite done in Manhattan, Sydney stayed to work on her Masters in History which she is hoping to complete in May of 2024.

Sydney has always loved history, something she picked up from her grandpa, mom, and Indiana Jones. She discovered a passion for Ancient Greece and Rome when she found it to be full of mythological adventures and exciting history. After taking colonial American classes as an undergrad, she then became interested in the Revolutionary era. Sydney found a way to combine the two in her thesis by writing about colonial American women using classical literature and history to communicate their own thoughts and opinions to the public.

When she is not studying history, Sydney likes reading fantasy and romance books with a cup of tea. She has a passion for music and movies that she loves to share with her friends and family.
