Kat Rieke

Intern - KSU Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work

Kat is a native of Omaha, Nebraska and came to Manhattan in 2020 to attend school at Kansas State University. She started college working towards an engineering degree, but fell in love with archaeology after taking the introduction class for fun. She is in her last semester of school for now, working to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science in Anthropology as well as a Certificate in Museum Studies. She hopes to work as an archaeologist in the Midwest either doing CRM work with a federal or private company, or working in a museum.

Kat loves reading, playing video games, and hanging out with friends in her free time, or cuddling with any of the 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 chinchillas she has back in Omaha.
