Alyson Youngers

Intern - KSU Department of History

Born and raised in Texas, Alyson spent a few years in Colorado before moving to Manhattan to continue her education at Kansas State University where she is currently majoring in History and Philosophy with a certificate in Museum Studies.  With a particular interest in American nuclear history, nuclear ethics and literature of the Cold War, Alyson hopes to use her time in Kansas to the absolute fullest, focusing her semester project on a group of decommissioned nuclear silos in Kansas.

As an intern with the Riley County Historical Museum, she aids staff in the processing and documentation of collections. In her free time, Alyson enjoys reading, hiking, traveling with family, video games with friends and, of course, visiting lots of museums.
