Hal Dace
Museum Assistant specializing in digital content
Hal Dace was born and raised in Manhattan, graduating from MHS in 1982, whereupon he moved to London, England and began a 20-year career working for the BBC as a film editor. Eventually becoming a film director and producer, Dace worked with Debbie Harry (of the rock band Blondie) on five films and also worked with many other rock & movie stars including Ian McKellan (Gandalf) & Jonathan Pryce (Brazil & Jumping Jack Flash). In 2010 he moved to China and taught young children English for four years. Never having lost his love of Manhattan, Dace returned in 2014, produced a documentary film about the history of the town, and soon thereafter the late museum director Cheryl Collins recruited him for the RCHM. He has three children and is a widower.<< Go Back
